New Update May 2021
We are open from May 14th, respecting sanitary measures and protocols to continue fighting the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
To do this, we want to remind our customers that we will continue to adopt the measures started last season. That is why we remind you of the most important:
- Respect the minimum safety distance of 2 meters and use the mask even if you can maintain this distance.
- Wash your hands often with soap or hydroalcoholic solution.
- Avoid greetings with physical contact.
- Follow the directions of staff and informational signs in all areas.
- Notify reception staff if you have any symptoms.
Regarding the masks:
We remind you that the use of a mask is mandatory in shops, reception, access to toilets buildings, supermarket, greengrocers and access to the bars and restaurants. Also when traveling to these services.
The use of the mask IS NOT MANDATORY in the pool area or at the beach. Or when you are sunbathing. Neither on your pitch or bungalow.
It is important to use the mask when traveling around the campsite and when you have people near you.
By protecting yourself, you protect others.

Recently, and to reinforce the protection of everyone against the Covid -19 virus, the use of the mask has become mandatory.
The Government of Catalonia decreed last July 8th the use of the mask in public transport, in closed and open public spaces and also on the street.
The explanatory panels inside the campsite inform that the use of a mask is mandatory in the shops, reception, accesses to the toilets, supermarket, greengrocer and accesses to the bars and restaurants. Also on the way to these services.
The use of the mask is NOT MANDATORY in the pool or at the beach. Or when you are sunbathing. Neither inside restaurants or bars. Neither on your plot or your bungalow.
What has changed in the use of the mask ? Now it must be used when walking around the campsite and when you have people close to you.
By protecting yourself, you protect others.
We have been with these mandatory for several weeks and this situation didn’t change the way to enjoy the beach and the pool without any problem or restrictions of any kind. On the pitches there are barbecues and drinks with the family or on the main terrace.
The musical performances at night are being controlled in their capacity and everyone has been able to enjoy an enjoyable night controlling distances and wearing masks.
The campsite informs and enforces all protocols and security measures, but it is in your hands and it’s your choice to have a civic responsibility to the other users .

The Campings in Girona Association promotes a plan for the Girona campsites to reopen with maximum security
We have received a visit from the technicians of the Campings in girona Association to check our protocols and hygiene measures for our opening. And they have given us the WeCare seal to give OK on all protocols.
Also they help us with personalized advice to prepare a reopening with maximum guarantees of hygiene and safety. This is the objective of the WeCare initiative that the Campings in girona Association has launched.
Before and during the summer, personalized advice will be carried out, with visits by the Association’s technicians to help resolve doubts regarding the application of the mandatory protocols established by the Spanish Government.

Postponement of opening date
This summer will be shorter but soon we will be open to enjoy the camping and the exciting setting that surrounds us.
We continue to work and adapt to European and Spanish standards, so for the moment we have to postpone the opening date to June 19th.

In case you have a reservation, we inform you:
If you have contracted the Cancellation Insurance, the Insurance company informs us that insurance does not cover epidemics or pandemics.
In case the campsite is forced to change opening dates due to the fact that the competent authorities declare us as a risk area or any other reason that forbid us providing the service, we will refund the total amount paid so far at no cost of cancellation.

NEW OPENING DATE 2020 SEASON
Dear customers:
From Camping Bungalow Resort & Spa La Ballena Alegre we are working hard to offer you all the improvements and news and make this 2020 season a memorable one. In order to do so, and due to current circumstances, we have postponed the opening date of our facilities to Thursday 28th May, 2020, when the authorities give permission to open.
On the other hand, the current crisis forces us to make more forceful decisions following the suggestions of the health authorities for the prevention and control of Covid-19 infection in our country.
It is a difficult time for everybody but very soon we will be able to enjoy the sun, the beach, the activities and, most importantly, to share unforgettable moments.
Our enthusiasm and commitment are underway. The team of La Ballena Alegre is at your disposal to help you in everything we can.
