2023 Optimist World Championship

Camping Bungalow Resort La Ballena Alegre Costa Brava is proud to announce this new nautical event, the Optimist World Championship. This championship will be held at our campsite from June 15th to 25th, 2023.

The host of the event will be the Club De Vela Ballena Alegre, located on the Costa Brava.

This sports competition will take place in the Optimist model boats in different competition categories. It is exciting to see this nautical competition on the beach of Sant Pere Pescador.

Also, this year 2023 is the 60th anniversary of the Optimist World Championship. We hope that more than 60 Member States will join us on the Costa Brava spot to celebrate this milestone. The organizers are planning many activities to mark this occasion. Sustainability and the environment will be the main themes of the championship.

It will be an event worth seeing worldwide. We wait for you !!
