CANCELLATION OF WINDSURF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP AND VW VANS CONCENTRATION 2020
Dear customers:
From Camping Bungalow Resort & Spa La Ballena Alegre we are working hard to offer you all the improvements and news and make this 2020 season a memorable one. In order to do all that and due to current circumstances, we have postponed the opening date of our facilities to Thursday, 28 th May 2020.
On the other hand, the current crisis forces us to make more forceful decisions following the suggestions of the health authorities for the prevention and control of Covid-19 infection in our country. In this sense, we are sorry to inform you that by common agreement (PWA, Volkswagen commercial vehicles, Surf a Vela magazine and Camping La Ballena Alegre), we are forced to suspend the following events scheduled for this May:
- Windsurf World Championship and Surf Alegre
- 17 th FurgoVolkswagen Concentration
It is a hard time for all of us but very soon we will be able to enjoy the sun, the beach, the activities and most importantly, to share unforgettable moments.

The Bay of Roses will once again be the epicenter of the European sailing this summer. Sant Pere Pescador prepares to host one of the busiest sailing events in the old continent: the Hobie Multi European Championship.
The Hobie Multi European is characterized by the wide participation of amateur sailors who share what they call “Hobie way of life”. During the 8 days of competition (from June 27 to July 5), the crews of more than 100 vessels from 14 countries live and share their experiences in tourist environments such as Sant Pere Pescador, Girona, Cap de Creus, Figueres …
This special framework motivates the organizing committee to prepare a good offer of parallel activities for competitors and their families and companions.
Hobie Multi European Championship 2020
The Hobie Multi European Championship 2020 was presented this week at the AGM European Hobie Cat Association (EHCA) held at the Barcelona International Sailing Center.
Pep Subirats , The director of the CV Ballena Alegre, presented to the representatives of the different European delegations the main axes of the future European Championship. The experience and level of the technical team demonstrated in the last European Championship of F18 of 2018 and the F18 World Championship held in summer of 2019 were highlighted.
With the Hobie Cat European Championship, La Ballena Alegre and its entire team consolidate Sant Pere Pescador as one of the best spots to organize high-level nautical events, where the tourist and gastronomic offer complete a sporting event that makes the experience of attending the event is different and exceptional.
At the sports level, more than a hundred boats of the Hobie Cat firm are expected, which configure different classes and categories of competition. From the youngest in Hobie 14 to the traditional Hobie 16 in Mixed, Junior and Master categories; the fast Hobie Tiger and the most outstanding regatta, which will be the Hobie 16 Open, with first-rate professional sailors.
