Environmental Policy

  • The company CAMPING CAR SL has installed a photovoltaic system of 926.36 kWp under the program of incentives linked to self-consumption and storage, with renewable energy sources, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union - NextGenerationEU.
  • The aid received from the European Union amounted to €343,438.31.
  • This installation implies energy savings of 1,145,202 kWh per year, as well as a reduction of 286 tons of CO2 per year.

Camping La Ballena Alegre Costa Brava

BAM, S.L. (Ballena Alegre Management), at its Camping La Ballena Alegre-Costa Brava site, makes the following policy statement, which sets out the principles relating to sustainability management, integrated into the strategic planning of the activity and applied transversally across all its departmental areas.

We undertake the commitment to develop our tourism activity within its context with the utmost respect and protection for the privileged natural environment that hosts us, continuously improving, whenever within our reach, environmental techniques, practices and actions, while contributing a legacy to the territory.

We acknowledge our responsibilities towards the environment and set ourselves the following objectives to achieve:

Compliance with existing environmental regulations and, whenever possible, anticipating legislative requirements.

Promoting sustainable tourism and nautical sports: raising awareness of ecology and local culture, fostering the well-being of the territory and seeking to provide regenerative value, the Ballena Model.

Promoting the protection of all environmental vectors that may be affected by the campsite’s activity and achieving maximum respect and protection of the environment within the framework of the UNEP 2030 Agenda SDGs, in order to contribute to the fight against climate change.

Adopting the appropriate measures for efficiency in water consumption.

Promoting self-sufficiency and energy efficiency through the INSIDE Model.

Promoting responsible, local and organic consumption.

Fostering zero waste, ensuring the most optimal and correct management possible.

Managing discharged wastewater in a manner compatible with the environment.

Promoting the landscape integration of all its elements.

Promoting the protection of terrestrial and marine biodiversity.

Involving and creating synergies with stakeholders in improvements related to environmental respect: employees, customers, suppliers and agents involved in the campsite’s activity and in sporting events.

Managing communication as an instrument for education and promotion of respect for the environment under the identity #ResponsibleHolidays.

Annual review of the implemented Self-Protection Plan, as well as training and dissemination thereof among employees.

Contributing to annual improvement through new objectives and preparing a public environmental statement.
