Costa Brava Bikepacking: an integral experience

The La Ballena Alegre resort, located in the heart of the Costa Brava, is consolidated as a reference for cycling lovers with the Costa Brava Bikepacking project, an initiative that combines sport, adventure and sustainability. This innovative proposal offers immersive and safe routes, personalized services and a unique experience for cyclists who want to discover the spectacular landscapes of this region.

A highlight event: Costa Brava Bikepacking Route 2025

From 6 to 8 June 2025, the Costa Brava Bikepacking Route will take place, a self-sufficient crossing that connects different campsites. The connection between the resort La Ballena Alegre and Camping Cala Pola becomes one of the highlights of the event. Thanks to the train option, participants can easily personalize their adventure: access the starting and finishing points, or return home in a simple and sustainable way.

Circularity and sustainability: a bet for the future

The Costa Brava Bikepacking project not only promotes sport and active tourism, but also stands out for its commitment to sustainable mobility. The routes, safe and certified by Cyclocat, connect key points of the Costa Brava and take advantage of the rail network, promoting a circular travel model, more respectful of the environment and perfectly integrated

• Arrival: Cyclists can easily reach the stations of Flaçà or Sant Miquel de Fluvià, located near La Ballena Alegre, ideal starting point for the adventure.
• Return: After completing the route, it is possible to return home by train from the stations of Sils or Blanes, located near Cala Pola.
  Participants can also start or finish the route by car.

In this way, the project promotes a connected, circular and environmentally friendly cycling experience, avoiding the use of private vehicles and betting on the train as a sustainable means of transport.

Services adapted to all levels and needs

This project is based on routes adapted to all levels, in collaboration with Cyclocat and the international network EuroVelo 8 - The Mediterranean Route. In addition, services specifically designed for cyclists are offered, such as:

• Shared plots for one or more nights, ideal for a comfortable rest during the route.
• Access to premium services: showers, catering areas, bicycle maintenance and recharging points.
• Bike-friendly environments, with spaces to relax, plan the next stages and connect with other bikepackers.
